The Ladakh region of India where Nun is locat­ed lies in the state of Jam­mu and Kash­mir.

    The climb­ing peri­od in the region extends from June-August when most of the rest of the Himalaya remains inac­ces­si­ble due to the monsoon. Easy acces­si­bil­i­ty by road and the short­est pos­si­ble approach march to reach base camp makes Nun one of the most attrac­tive moun­taineer­ing des­ti­na­tions in the West­ern Himalaya. Climb­ing this peak is a great chance to get high alti­tude climb­ing expe­ri­ence on a clas­sic expe­di­tion. Nun Peak is locat­ed in the remote land­scape of the Zan­skar ranges in north­ern India and is the high­est moun­tain in the region.
