BEST 3D MOVIES OF ALL TIME MOVIE
The movie was received so poorly that Tucker reportedly attempted suicide shortly after its release. Ro-Man uses the bubbles to communicate to his superior while he finishes off the last survivors on Earth (only eight left-if only he hadn’t fallen in love with an Earth babe!) with his “calcinator” death ray!? If that wasn’t enough, the entire movie is revealed to be a dream from the babe’s little kid brother (who apparently wants a gorilla alien to fall in love with his sister, kidnap her, and rip her clothes)! Pervert. “Robot Monster” looks more like a sponsored advertisement for a new product called the Billion Bubble Machine than a real movie, even giving the machine’s manufacturer credit in its opening titles. The evil Ro-Man has entered the pop culture lexicon if not by name then at least by sight-the alien identified in the title of this schlocky B-movie from director Phil Tucker is basically a guy in a gorilla suit wearing a diving helmet with two bug-like antennae.

Aliens,” 2009 is officially the rebirth of 3D as a mainstream movie-going experience. The movies on our list should be a good starting point for those who want to see the impossible come to life. With this weekend’s release of Dreamworks’ 3D computer-animated feature “Monsters Vs. So, if you want to scope out some monsters that do evil or fight for good, there’s almost always a film tailored to your needs. You might just sneak in a message alongside all the shock and awe and gore. So it’s helpful then to think of a creature that represents imperialism, or war, or sexually-transmitted diseases and let them relay your message for you to an audience who wants to be thrilled. Monsters also allow filmmakers to explore complex metaphors after all, the horrors of the world are very real but not always photogenic. Plus, it’s just fun to see a giant creature wreak havoc on poor, unsuspecting humans. Why do we love monsters so much? Well, because they are just outside of the realm of possibility, showing us there’s another world out there if only we look hard enough. Some of the genre’s best efforts are more thrillers or adventure rides, choosing to forego the fear for an adrenaline rush that’s hard to beat. Of course, monster movies aren’t necessarily horror in nature. After all, our imaginations run wild every day, and seeing the results of a filmmaker’s daydreaming is as thrilling as any supernatural horror movie can be. Who doesn’t love seeing the inventive ways that filmmakers bring terrifying creatures to life on the big screen? There’s a primal fear that comes from seeing something not quite real on the screen, whether it’s terrorizing a film’s characters or working alongside them. While horror comes in many different forms, one subgenre has always had a spot in the canon: monster movies.
